I'm 17 and about to be a freshman in college. I am starting now, while I'm pregnant, and I'm majoring in civil engineering. I'm a single mom-to-be. The stress of preparing for a baby and college don't bother me as much as the stress of trying to make decisions about the father's involvement in the baby's life. Who can I talk to, either online or in person, about these paternal decisions?
HeadBang4Jesus answered Thursday July 15 2010, 2:16 am: There are many great websites that offer support for single parents and teen moms. Here are a few:
If you look in your phone book there should be a listing for a 24/7 single parent hot line in your area.
To find a single parent support group near you, google is a great place to go.
Don't forget to reach out to your family and friends for advice. They know your situation better than anyone so, they would be the best support system.
Good luck with everything! If you need someone to chat with email me :)
