Appropriate outfits for working at a retirement home?

Question Posted Wednesday July 14 2010, 9:01 pm

16/petite, assisting nurses, might be a waitress, might help with recreation, and might need to bend down to clean doors, etc. I obviously do not have a scrub (which is why I'm working in the first place) so of course I need to wear something appropriate with no cleavage, tank top, etc.

I'm just hoping that the outfits you guys come up with is a bit of some clothing peices that I already own =/

Shoes are taken care of and no purses needed so I just need probably simple outfits. Thank you!

Additional info, added Thursday July 15 2010, 10:21 am:
thanks! I only have 2 pairs of jeans, two pairs of sweat pants (which I haven't worn because I don't want ot look likea BUM), and short short, which I obviously wouldn't dare to wear! Even though I'm a student employee, I don't want ot look like one wearing nice jeans but I'm also not the black pants wearing person either =/

annddd I'm the only assistant. All the other workers, even the ones in the kitchen, wear scrubs as well and I'm the only student working so far that I know so it's ahrd to try to model your outfit to someone else.

Play it safe and wear all white.

white pants, white shirt, white shoes. (Should be a bit baggy)

You will look professional, but not overdressed.

When you get to the job, look around to see what all the other assistance are wearing and take notes from them.

Save up for a scrub; a nursing assistant essential. There should be a local store that sells discounted scrubs for about 10 bucks.

Hope this helps, good luck!

Blessings!
