You need to take it out immediatley! It will hurt but you dont want TSS so yes it may hurt but just pull on it no atter how much it hurts! ]
You have to take it out right away no matter how much it hurts get it out, it's very dangerous to have it in more than 8 hours, and no it doesn't stop your period it just soaks up the blood so that you don't have blood stains on your underwear. To put in a tampon you should definitely read the instructions, the box always comes with them and if it REALLY hurts that means you've had it in for too long or you REALLY messed up when you put it in be extra careful next time you use one!!!
Good Luck! Get back to me! I hope it works out!!! ]
It's really important that you remove this tampon now, even if it hurts to do so. It's not safe to leave a tampon in for longer than 8 hours as you are potentially putting yourself at risk of infection or even worse, Toxic Shock.
It could be that your period ended or that the absorbency is too high. Most females find that their flow is heavier and lighter at different times during their cycle. For example, it's common to have a heavy flow at the beginning and then a light one at the end of your period. If this is the case for you, you shouldn't be using the same absorbency of tampon the whole way through your period. You should always use the lowest absorbency possible. So if your period is very light, don't use a tampon designed for a heavy period. ]
