Yes, fruits and vegetables are good for you but you need to include them as part of a balanced diet which includes all the major food groups. You also need plenty of bread, rice and other starchy foods such as potatoes, lots of protein found in meat, fish and eggs as well as a healthy amount of dairy products, fat and sugar.
In light of this, it's a bad idea to try and deprive yourself of things. Choose low-fat varieties of things like yoghurt, milk and other dairy products. You could also substitute bread and pasta for wholegrain varieties. If you eat alot of red meat, then try to cut down. It's okay to eat it once or twice a week but as it's high in fat, it's a good idea to go for chicken and turkey instead. It's also really important to get a couple of portions of fish into your diet as it's a good source of protein. Oily fish such as mackerel is especially good as it's a source of essential omega-3.
The way you cook your food also makes a difference. Generally, grilling and baking is MUCH healthier than frying. Simple things like grilling your bacon instead of frying it will make a difference. Pick up a low-fat cooking spray to use instead of oil for when you have to fry things (be careful to check the label though, some of those sprays contain lots of chemicals and other nasty things). Similarly, when choosing foods labelled 'diet', 'fat free' or 'low cal' etc, be really careful to check the labels properly. Sometimes these foods contain hidden sugars and salts, which you could be unknowingly consuming.
If you Google 'healthy meals' or 'healthy recipes' you'll come up with thousands of suggestions. In my personal experience, Weight Watchers recipes are usually pretty good.
Remember that a healthy diet is only part of losing weight. Regular exercise is also really important. If you don't want to join a gym or group activities such as aerobics, try going swimming or running/jogging once or twice a week. If 'boring' execercise doesn't appeal to you then find out if there are any dance, kickboxing or spin classes around your area. These days there are so many different things available...I know someone who even goes to a pole dancing class for fitness! [ rainbowcherrie's advice column | Ask rainbowcherrie A Question ]

you can try Yogurt, all types and kinds of delicious fruits, beef, all types of fish, chicken ( not fried chicken), all vegetables, the point is to be and get creative without eating processed food! as well as going to the gym and not giving up on excercise at all! atleast 3 times a week for an hour and 30 minutes! go run, take a walk to the park it is summer!
- COMMITMENT IS ALSO KEY if you really, really want it, then do not give up at all you can do it!
- eliminate processed food at all times and do not eat or have any junk food like hot dogs etc! or chips and candy or cookies! that will only do bad for you.
- If you want, have 1 "cheating day" where you can treat yourself with any junk food but let it be only like once a week or else you wont see any results!
- if you need extra help and or motivation, it is a great idea to get a work-out partner! go out for a jog every morning or afternoon if you cant go to the gym, do your own work-outs at home!
- nothing is impossible! especially loosing weight! you can do it and if you are committed and truly passionate, you will go very far!
- I wish you the best of luck! and keep going don't give up I know you can do it!
