How should I exercise, and what should I eat to lose 50 pounds in 3 months?

How many times should I go to the gym a week (how long should I stay at the gym, and what exercise equipment should I use? I go to Bally Total Fitness), what can I do to control cravings, and what types of foods should I be eating, and how many times a day? I also want to train for volleyball season next school year, so if you know any special volleyball exercises that can help me get more in shape, please tell! I want to be skinny and toned when I get back to school, and shexy! haha. Thanks if you can help :)

Maybe give some free advice about: Fitness? pxiong23 answered Thursday May 27 2010, 1:20 am: i think you should go 5 days in a week. fiber really helps with losing fat. so a bowl of oatmeal each morning. i hear that if you work out in the morning, your metabolism will keep going throughout the day. running/jogging is the best thing you can do. you just have to keep your heart rate up the whole time. you should only lose 2-3 pounds a week. eat a variety of foods to get the right vitamins and minerals, but only 6 portions, and each portion should be the size of your fist. again, oatmeal is your best friend. i find it kinda hard to swallow sometimes so i eat a banana with it. poultry is the best meat you can eat. i don't recommend beef and pork. and drink lots of water. cookierat123 answered Wednesday May 26 2010, 12:00 pm: It is recommended that you exercise at LEAST 3 times a week. If you feel like you could go more days, then more power to ya! You should stay at the gym for at least an hour and as long as you are doing cardio work outs, it doesn't matter what equipment. For example, make sure your doing a lot of lunges and side lunges. To make these more difficult, hold weights in both hands. Also, squats and crunches really help. Most gyms have personal trainers that are there to answer any questions you may have to to give you some extra advice you may need as well.
As for food, the best way to diet is to eat a lot during the day, but in verrrrry small portions. Take some healthy snacks every where you go, such as pretzels or grapes. You should be eating 5 meals a day, but healthy meals and in small portions. As to WHAT foods is up to you. My favorite diet is the Adkins diet because you basically eat nothing but protein(eggs, nuts, meat, etc). But I would add fruits and veggies in there too. Its easy to look up healthy recipes online as well.
