scared of chalk? no one likes the sounds of chalk scraping across a board, but whenever i see, touch, or even think about chalk or chalk boards, i freak out. literally. i'll start twitching like crazy and cover my ears to keep from hearing things. i go to an art school and when we had to use chalk to draw a picture i couldn't do the work. i kept flipping out and on several occasions, nearly had an anxiety attack.
is this normal? is there an actual phobia of chalk? i know this question isn't really important but chalk isn't leaving my life anytime soon and i'm wondering if there is something i can do about it. i don't react like this to any other substance.

you aren't alone, its called Cretaphobia- phobia of chalk. If it interfered with everyday life, you can see a psychiatrist/psychologist or something, otherwise, try really hard to avoid it?
i tried researching it, but there isnt much info out there, maybe you could try? Hope i helped :) ]
