no one likes the sounds of chalk scraping across a board, but whenever i see, touch, or even think about chalk or chalk boards, i freak out. literally. i'll start twitching like crazy and cover my ears to keep from hearing things. i go to an art school and when we had to use chalk to draw a picture i couldn't do the work. i kept flipping out and on several occasions, nearly had an anxiety attack.
is this normal? is there an actual phobia of chalk? i know this question isn't really important but chalk isn't leaving my life anytime soon and i'm wondering if there is something i can do about it. i don't react like this to any other substance. (link)

i have problems with chalk because every time i here or see someone with chalk or even saying the word i freak out by moving my mouth up and down so my jaw goes insane my dad thinks it is a good idea to expose me to chalk more and more he started by putting chalk in my pencil case now he puts it in my sandwich box and sometimes sets the table using chalk instead of cutlery i freak out just the same but he insists that it will work.
if someone suggests this forget it because it doesnt work and hope you find help for us all that hate chalk.
