PARAKEETS WINGS! PLEASE HELP ME
Hi, I am a little worried about my keets!
I have two, had em fora few months now. and one just grew her wings back (when I got her they were clipped) and flies high up..it makes me happy she has the freedom to fly around in my room with a high ceiling, however, when I let her out of the cage, she will run into walls...why is this..????
Another point of concern, the male only has one noticeably long feather, the other is gone, so he cant fly high up like he used to!!! Makes me sad..:(
How long will it take to grow back? Will it grow back?? I just need to be informed about feathers...
I spend time with them, I give them toys, I have them seperated into two cages (set right by each other for when I train them) but when I'm not training them, I let them play/stay in same cage with each other....

keep birds' wings clipped unless you want them flying away especially if he is very off balanced keep the feathers clipped until it grows fully back. they shed their feathers and grow back naturally and it will. eventually they will learn to fly away from walls its just because their young hopefully :)
