Alright, i'm 15 years old and I stated my period when I was 12. I knew it would be irregular for a while, but this isn't normal..
The first time I got it, was a December. I didn't get it again until August, the next year. I got it again in November, then from November up to July, it was enitrely normal. Every single month, I would get it the same time every month. For almost 9 straight months it was completely regular. It's now April, and I haven't had it since last July.. That's almost a year. I have no clue what to do, or think. I've talked to my family doctor about this, but she brushed it off as me being stressed. I really need help here.
Can anyone relate to my situiation?
Is getting on the pill a good idea at my age?
Will it cause me to get a regular period again?
How can I tell my mom I want to get on the pill, or talk about my period without it being awkward?
Please help,
Thanks

cause your period to be regular again research it to make sure and gain information iv'e had times where my period's came late & i thought myself that
i wasn't going to get it you should tell your mother
that your becoming concerned that you haven't gotten
your period and then ask her if going on the pill is
a good idea i'm sure she'll understand & will be more then happy to help you(: [ sunshine1232's advice column | Ask sunshine1232 A Question ]

Those are common things that can stop periods but not the only ones. Although some females just have naturally unpredictable periods, it would be a good idea to go to your doctor again anyway to make sure everything is okay. Perhaps it would be a good idea to ask to see a different one this time.
Going on the Pill could help you and you can discuss it with your doctor when you go. He/she may want to do some blood tests to make sure there isn't anything serious happening behind the scenes.
Don't feel awkward about talking to your Mum. Remember that she's female too! Just pick a moment when you're alone and relaxed together and mention the fact that you're worried about your periods. I'm sure she'd even be happy to go to the doctor with you if you wanted her to.
