Why do some people feel the need to stereotype? I find it very small minded, especially when people say:
*"emos" are suicidal
*"preps" are mean
*guys are horndogs
*girls are bitches when they get their periods
*teenagers are full of raging hormones and go through tons of mood swings
etc.

Most guys are horndogs. Many girls are bitches when they get their period. And teens most certainly are full of raging hormones and go through tons of mood swings. [ karenR's advice column | Ask karenR A Question ]

Everyone judges people. Calling someone an "emo" or a prep is stereotyping, and the fact that "emos are suicidal" is just a characteristic of that stereotype. We were built to do this, even though it can often hurt people. [ ConfusedX2's advice column | Ask ConfusedX2 A Question ]
