Okay so i just got the droid eris and im totally confused, it dosent come with a manual because their trying to "go green" so i needed some help. Does anyone know how to delete a contact on your contact list and how to delete missed calls and text messages? oh and how too go from the 3g network to 1x and could possibly give me a very detailed way of how to do it? thank you soo much! :)

P.S and if you had any tips to save more of the battery life that would be a big help thank you soo much!

It was taking forever for this site to open so I didn't wait around. However, this is the phones manual according to Verizon.

I have the droid eris but I'm afraid I can't help much with the technical side.

To delete a contact, I go to people and then press the contact you want to delete and then hit the menu button. Delete should be an option.

To delete all your missed calls (I don't think you can just delete one) go to phone, hit menu, and go to call history. Then press menu again and it will say delete all.

I tried to delete a whole text thread and it didn't work for me, but you could try. Go to the thread (the convo your having with the person) and hit menu. Delete will be an option and it will say delete all? and hit yes. To delete one message, just press and hold that one message and a drop down list will appear with that option.

No idea about the network thing, but to save battery download task killer from the app store (it's free). All your applications run in the background even if they seem closed and that takes up battery life.

Good luck!

-Abby
