so towards the end of january, i was arrested, along with two of my friends, for having a xanax pill on me, two packs of pall malls, and for being out past curfew. (i'm 17, female, by the way.) and so i had to go see a probation officer, and she gave me 6 months probation, with random drug tests. i knew i didn't have anything to worry about with the drug tests, since i don't do drugs. but she only told me what would happen to me if i failed a drug test. i can't remember what she said would happen if i got into trouble with the law again.
so anyways, about a month later, i got caught shoplifting, (dumb, i know. don't lecture me) and got slapped with another citation. so we called the chick, since she said if i did get into trouble again, to let her know within 48 hours of it happening. and we did, and she said she'll need to meet up with me again.
but now its been almost a month and a half and we haven't heard anything from her. i'm getting anxious, and so are my parents. and since i'm going to start driving soon, i'm worried that i'll get pulled over for speeding or something and then they'll see they have a warrent for me and take my happy ass down to juvi. why is she taking so long to call? what do you think will be my punishment, with the law? i'd prefer answers from someone who knows a lot about this type of stuff or has been in this situation before. thanks. and please, no lectures. i've learned from my mistakes and now i just need some answers.

She hasn't called you becuase your an adult. You know you need to go see her.. you are "on the run" You know this..and you should do something about this NOW.
You won't get out of this with just probation.
You have violated your probation.. and depending on the state you live in.. it is mandatory that you spend at least 45 days in jail, for your VOP.
And as for getting pulled over once your driving.. Don't speed, don't break the law and you won't get pulled over to be arrested.
Seermage answered Tuesday March 30 2010, 6:26 pm: Have YOU tried to contact your probation officer ( I'm assuming this is the "her" your speaking of?
Keep trying to reach her. Otherwise just do what your told in court.
The two issues should catch up with each other.
You are a minor and these are pretty "minor" incidents.
Nothing serious will happen!
As long as you have learned your lesson, all will be well.
Just be honest with judge and/or probation officer. They love when people admit the truth, " I know, I was dumb"ect
no excuses and trust me, you'll get off!

Therefore, I'm not going to lecture you but you are cutting yourself a short rope.
You stated that you will be getting your license soon, You will only get pulled over if you disobey the law. If you drive and don't want to be pulled over then I suggest you not to speed. When you get pulled over sometimes you get a warning or a nice fat fine that will raise your insurance. I don't read minds so I don't know what is going to happen but you better pray that they don't put a time on giving a license to you.
