Industrial Piercing: Can't get the barbell off!

Question Posted Sunday March 28 2010, 4:19 am

How do you get the end ball of the barbell off? I figured you just twist it but it won't come off? I just got my industrial done in February and I wanna switch the barbell but it won't twist off.

Are you twisting it the right way? try the other ball, on an industrial, there should be two?
Sometimes, when you get them done, they screw them on really tight so it doesn't accidentally unscrew and fall out - if you can't do it yourself, go back to the place you had it done and they'll do it for you.. or any other piercing parlour - but they may cost a small fee.

Both ends are screwed on.

If you can't get unscrew it, either ask someone strong who can or go back to the parlor and ask the person who did it to switch it for you.

It should twist off, but assuming you had a reputable piercer, s/he screwed it on tight enough, because the balls can often fall off.
Just go to a piercing parlour and ask them to open it for you, that's what I've done a few times.
