Never believe a thing you see in porn. Everything is orchestrated, body parts are fake, and nothing about the interaction is natural. So disregard what you've seen completely.
If you can go 7-10 minutes, you're normal. If you're not there yet, you just need practice. While having sex, if you think you're going to ejaculate, pause and take a breather. You'll eventually learn to build some endurance.
And most women I've talked to don't want intercourse to go on for 30, 40 minutes, not unless after the first 20 minutes they get to read a magazine.

The other thing is that there are a lot of ways you can last longer. If you masturbate you usually aren't wearing a condom where-as during sex the condom will generally make you last a lot longer. During sex if you are straight into the sex you probably will climax quickly, so use lots of foreplay and your partner will most likely do the same. If your partner is teasing you with lots of different things then you can have all of the pleasure without the climax and then when you do have sex it won't feel like as quick as it did before. The other thing is to try out plenty of different positions as some will lead you to climax much sooner than others.
