My girlfriend has been taking birth control for a while now, but recently her doctor had her change to a different prescription. Ever since then I've noticed she gets these bouts of sadness, usually around night time, and I worry about her because of it. I was wondering if her changing prescriptions like that could cause the changes in her mood. Is it just a temporary thing until her body adjusts to the new prescription?

candi4545 answered Sunday March 14 2010, 1:51 pm: the change of prescriptions could be her changing to a lighter medication when your on a higher dosage birth control it normally has something in it that helps deal with moodiness (or depression)
if this is the case then yes she could be upset
her hormones could be gettin used to the new meds too hormones can casue crazy moods.... to anwser your question it could be just the meds
BUT
i would ask her how shes feeling what shes going through and stuff like that nothing makes most girls happier than a boy who is observative talkative and a good listener [ candi4545's advice column | Ask candi4545 A Question ]

If you want you can wait a few days and see if she gets better maybe she does just need to adjust to the new prescription but i would only give it a week and after that if her mood doesnt get better then take her to the doctor. :D [ Katlyn's advice column | Ask Katlyn A Question ]
