Stuck Between Music Genres

Question Posted Sunday March 7 2010, 11:24 am

Hey everybody quick question. Is it normal to love 3 different types of music equally? and to dress in three different categories?. For an example i listen to really heavy metal, club music like house euro jumpstyle etc... and i also listen to rap. and i dress like all those at different times during the week etc... depending on where im going. i love all 3 types of music but is this normal?

=) yup. You just have an eclectic taste in music and dress. I listen to anything from punk rock to rap to techno, anything with a good beat that fits the mood. It's good to be open-minded.

Don't worry, it's perfectly normal. Don't listen to the media; just because they dictate that you can only like ONE genre and have to fit in with that genre's stereotypes, that doesn't mean you have to listen.

For example, I LOVE Eminem (rap), Metallica (heavy metal), Fall Out Boy (pop rock), and Yiruma (classical piano).

So no, you're allowed to like whatever music you like and dress however you like to dress. It's YOUR style and it's YOUR personality. It's what makes people unique and interesting.

I guess, though I'd question your "love" for the genres.

Hi :)

OF COURSE IT'S NORMAL! :D this is what makes you, YOU! The fact that you strive to be unique naturally is great. Everyone has their own taste and opinion. So don't mind those who bring you down and say negative things, you're better than them ;)

Overall, I listen to different types of music too. As far as dressing, I don't have a certain style. I pick what I like and that's that. Take care

Listen to whatever you like and dress however you feel most comfortable. Anyone who doesn't accept you for crossing genres is probably incredibly dull. It's sad and stupid when people feel the need to stick to a certain stereotype.
