Okay so i am a flyer on my competitive cheer squad and my coach wants me to do a Kick-double. i have flown before but i am really scared of doubling!!! what do i do????
Melody answered Monday March 22 2010, 5:23 pm: Obviously you have the talent, or your coach wouldn't have asked you to do this. It's all in your head. Mental blocks are usually the hardest obstacle to get over, but once you do you will feel so accomplished.
Practice on a trampoline over and over again. Then watch some girls that do this particular stunt on your squad, and ask them for tips. Get on youtube, and watch it over and over again. Always practice with a mat and trust your bases!
Just do it. That's really the best way.

Katlyn answered Sunday March 21 2010, 11:16 pm: Well your going to have to practice it a few times to get the fear out of your head so i suggest asking your coach if you two can meet afterschool and just practice that so you wont be so scared anymore of get a few girls to come to your house or go to the gym and practice it a few times that will make it easier on you.
