camera dies instantly, is it the camera or the battery?

i love photography and im lost without my camera. for the past few months it dies within ten min even if i charge it all night. but i dont really know if it is the battery or the camera itself. how can i find out? i dont have the money to do anything expensive for it so its kind of depressing. maybe buy a new battery but what if its not even the battery..? any help

BUT it could also be your camera cord so I'd get both checked out. I doubt it's the camera itself because the only way that would be messed up is if you've dropped it or done some serious damage to the area where you plug in the charge cord. Bring it to the store where you purchased it, or any store that sells cameras. They'll be able to tell you what's wrong with it. Just bring the cord with you. Good luck <3
Hey, I got your feedback, I hope you see this. I'm like 85% sure it's the battery then, it could just be old and some batteries wear out of they're charged for too long. Definitely take it to the store and see what they can do :) [ lacexface's advice column | Ask lacexface A Question ]
sunshine1232 answered Thursday January 28 2010, 9:45 pm: I think it's the battery you could try doing research about the camera online and see if other people have had the same problem as you or if you've still got the manual that came with the camera you could read that and see if it gives you the information you need or try getting the companies phone number and contacting them or going onto their offical website those would be your best options recently a similar situation happened to me i had a video game system that wouldn't charge & it turned out to be that the battery was shot i ended up buying a new battery & charger(: [ sunshine1232's advice column | Ask sunshine1232 A Question ]
