Driving (not sure is this in the right catagory)

Question Posted Thursday January 28 2010, 3:17 pm

Hi!
I was wondering what currently the driving age was for people. I have heard so many different theories. I live in MA. I heard that at 16 you could drive, and at 15 1/2 you could got to drivers ed and earn a permit, but then just recently I heard that you couldn't even enter drivers ed until you were 15 nine and nine months. So, if you actually understand what I'm trying to explain, would you please tell me what the current policy for the age someone is eligible to enter into drivers ed, earn their permit, and are able to drive by themselves?
Thank you!
-Sky

Sky,
Actually, you can start drivers ed before you are fifteen and a half. But you can't get your "tempts" to go behind the wheel until fifteen and a half (if that's incorrect, your drivers ed teacher will tell you the actual age for where you live). Good luck.

you're allowed to go to drivers ed CLASSES when you're 14. you can get your permit when you're 15. you have to have your permit for 6 months and you take the behind the wheel classes when you get your permit. you can get your license when you're 16.
