Daintree answered Thursday January 28 2010, 4:56 pm: I have been watching a fabulous decorator on T.V he ask his clients to go to there room am pick out 3 style items they love and 3 peronal items they love he uses this as as a suggested pallet and texture for the look he creates and the personal touch gives his client a great feeling of pleasure. So if you want to ditch the colours start affresh with your chosen belongings and work off them. Eg; they may be a faverite shoe a photo which he recreates in black & white it may be shells you collected on a very special occassion it may be a favourite dress you get lots of compliments with your faverite straw hat This is textures items and so on. It seems like a good recipe for a sucessful decorating theme. Good luck [ Daintree's advice column | Ask Daintree A Question ]

hmm lets see This might be a bit hard because I dont know the colours or stlyes you like or might go for but Il just trash some ideas out there see what you think :)
I personally think that a black and white themed room is great its sophisticated yet edgey at the same time (I know some feel it might be a bit dark but if done right can look fab)
sometihing like this bedspread maybe..
whats also nice is black and fuicha pink my friend has her room that way shes got a plain sorbet pink on the wall and has brought it out with a black bedspread with fuisha pink designs and lots of cushins
if thats too severe you could go like a warm nuteral colour and bring it out just a small bit like lilac or light purple and cream
theres so many different looks you can choose from..do you want something dark or bright? its hard to go on!
