there are a lot of applications on facebook that say they show you who views your profile but do they actually work? like can people actually see who all views your profile?

No. It's against Facebook's privacy policies. Same goes for Myspace.

Hey, I was actually wondering the same thing the other day so I did some research. I found out Trackzor, an application on Facebook that allows you to see who views your profile, is somewhat glitchy. The only way it works is if you have Trackzor yourself. Apparently it can't track anyone who hasn't installed/used the app. As long as you don't sign yourself up for any of those types of apps I'm sure no one would be able to track your profile views.
