Yes they are comfortable and yes they are cold to lay on so make sure your room temperature is right. I say "right" because satin is sticky when your room temperature is high and your sweating on it.

What makes my bed comfortable is an underlay and a magnetic underlay. Satin sheets are slippery remember the movie Blind Date and Kim Bassinger kept sliding off well that what happens. Great for lovers but if your looking for a good night sleep get high thread cotton sheets 400 threat is luxururious just like a 5 star hotel only better. Yeah. try buying a set of Egyptian sheets on special they are expensive sometimes you can get lucky and score a set on special 400 thread.

I love Satin Sheets! They're so soft, in a silk kind of way but smoother. They can get cold, and tends to be thinner than a typical bed sheet, but couple the sheets with a down comforter and you're set, plus you're in the lap of luxury.

Also be careful of "jumping" into bed. There is a high possibility of sliding right off the bed.

i had really expensive satin bedsheets, but i dont use them anymore. They are cold at first, but they soon get really warm, sometimes hot in the summer. They can be rather slippery, and if its summer time and really warm...if you sweat...its horrendous.

when the weathers nice..and you can get comfortable, and if you dont toss and turn much, im sure they can be very pleasurable.
