How can I get birth control pills?

Question Posted Tuesday December 1 2009, 10:27 pm

I've been trying to get birth control pills for a few days but I don't want to tell my grandma (my mom passed away and my dad lives somewhere else so I live with my grandma) I tried calling planned parenthood but they never answer. I'm allowed to stay one hour after school and I was planning on going to planned parenthood then but it's always packed. I don't know anything about my medical insurance or anything like that and I'm broke so what do I have to do to get them free? Is there any other way I can make an appointment? I tried doing it online too but it wouldn't let me make an account.

if you dont want your grandma to find out, then you could call at say lunch time in school and make an appointment. ask one of your friends to give you a ride or something. the people that work there wont say anything that you dont want them to say. its free. i have no idea what the person 2 down from me is talking about. i dont pay for mine at all. condoms are free too. when i go to get more pills, they ask if i need more condoms and if i say yes then they give me a bag. if you think your pregnant or anything and you want to take a pregnant test, they dont tell. my friend went without her parents knowing because they are very strict and she is having sex and they still dont know about it. (:

hope i helped(:

First, i would always reccomend going to a gynecologist. and also, birth contro is pretty expensive. i hate that it is, but my gyno gave me 6 months of free samples, but after i run out, its about $30 a month. But if you dont have medical insurance, idk if you could go to a gyno. look up in the yellow pages for one, and call to see if you could see them without medical insurance. i dont think that you can get them for free, but if you do find a way, pleaseeee let me know haha. good luck! i hope you find a way!
