Question Posted Wednesday November 18 2009, 12:18 am
for the past 2 weeks my left eye has been weird...
my left eye starts to hurt alot, like there is cold air blowing against it, so i always close my left eye and it stops the pain. I Dont know why, but this happens most of the time when im at school. I can see, but it just hurts. Is there something wrong with me? Am i going blind or something? Please help me!
I don't think you are going blind, but it would be in your best interest to see an eye doctor about this. Your eyes are very important to you. Take care of them by having this checked. [ karenR's advice column | Ask karenR A Question ]

Your eyes need to produce tears in order to keep them moist and if you are dehydrated then you don't have enough to produce the correct amount. Have you been drinking less water lately?
Another theory I have is perhaps it's the air conditioning. I absolutely hate being near air conditioners or fans on full blast, because my eyes completely dry out and I feel like there is constant pain due to cold air blowing on a dry eye. Why don't you fill a bowl with water and submerge your head in the water face down for just a few seconds. Something should fall out of your eye. Why don't you give it a try. It's probably just dust or something. [ azndude09's advice column | Ask azndude09 A Question ]
