How much does it cost to get your nose pierced?

Question Posted Tuesday November 17 2009, 9:22 pm

Title pretty much says it all. I want to get my nose pierced and I want to know how much it costs and if it is worth it or should I get a friend to do it for me?

I am really scared of infection since I had an ear get infected and it was really bad.

Thank you please?

If you haven't done it yet, I urge you to consider the idea that you get what you pay for. Obviously, you should go to a piercer who is experienced. Many states do NOT have license requirements, and looking to find a piercer who has gone above and beyond to get certified by an independent bureau (like the APP) is well worth it.

There are always risks with piercings, and by getting a friend to do it for you, you REALLY put yourself into danger. Piercing infections can turn deadly.

Piercing prices will always vary because every parlor is different. Some will charge more and some will charge less. It all depends on the shop, and who's doing it for you. You need to call & ask around. Call a few places, ask their prices, and then compare to see what works for you.

I definitely suggest that you get this done by a professional. A friend is not a professional piercer. They didn't get the license to do it, and chances are they will mess it up. Having a friend do it will make your chances of infection much higher. Have a professional do it, and you'll be fine.

I've never had my nose pierced, but I do plan on getting it, and I think the decision of whether or not it's worth it is completely up to you. Do you think it's a worthwhile investment? None of us can tell you. That's your call.

Anyway, see a professional, call and ask around & as long as you take care of it properly, you won't get an infection. :)
