Title pretty much says it all. I want to get my nose pierced and I want to know how much it costs and if it is worth it or should I get a friend to do it for me?
I am really scared of infection since I had an ear get infected and it was really bad.

It all depends on the shop, and who's doing it for you. You need to call & ask around. Call a few places, ask their prices, and then compare to see what works for you.
I definitely suggest that you get this done by a professional. A friend is not a professional piercer. They didn't get the license to do it, and chances are they will mess it up. Having a friend do it will make your chances of infection much higher. Have a professional do it, and you'll be fine.
I've never had my nose pierced, but I do plan on getting it, and I think the decision of whether or not it's worth it is completely up to you. Do you think it's a worthwhile investment? None of us can tell you. That's your call.
