so in the morning, i set my alarm for 5:45. I dont get up until 6:20 I can never seem to hear my alarm clock and my mom is getting really mad about it. Im sixteen and cant wake up she eventually has to come in there 3-4 times until im out of bed. Why cant i drag myself out of bed? my mom just established i acctually have a bedtime-_- not only that its 9:30 that is riddiculous. im sixteen, and a junior in highschool. i mean that is insane. she said it will drop when i get myself up but i cant seem to do it ive tried. Help me get ways to get out of bed!. oh and i dont need an alarm clock. its what gets my mom up in the morning. she doesnt have to get up until like eight.
Raindrops812a answered Tuesday November 3 2009, 8:38 am: hii, i have a similar problem. i have to wake up at exactly 5:00 & i'm 16 as well :S
its always really hard for me to get out of bed but my school is really strict when it comes to people being late which is what keeps me from going back to sleep after my alarm rings xD
recently i've tried going to bed at 9:00 which is even worse than 9:30 :P but i've noticed that i feel so much better when i wake up in the morning & dont feel the urge to go back to sleep.
so maybe you should try going to bed at 9:30. it'll probably help! besides that getting out of bed is pure willpower haha.
so whenever you cant get out of bed think: 'if i dont get out of bed now my mums gonna make me go to bed at 9:30 for the rest of my life'.
maybe that'll help :P [ Raindrops812a's advice column | Ask Raindrops812a A Question ]
DiVine answered Tuesday November 3 2009, 12:07 am: okay sleepy head...the questions is what are you doing and what ever it is you need to stop or at least slow down or else you won't feel the need to rest till it time that you think is normal to rest...you should always have a nap and food to keep your body energized out your whole day it help and the best thing you can do is follow mom bed-time try this and tell me how it work for you
and you should try planning and timing so that you have enough time to sleep, eat, think, and wake up on time.......... [ DiVine's advice column | Ask DiVine A Question ]

i'm a sophomore in high school and i have the same problem except now with my mom but i have to have four alarm clock and i wake up at 6:30. i try to go to bed around 9, not because i have to, but because i want to. i'm just THAT tired and i wanna get as much sleep as possible.
what about when your mom wakes you up have her like turn on the bright lights and take your blanket away so its harder to fall asleep.
or when you get home try to take a nap or go to sleep earlier. [ mizzlauren41's advice column | Ask mizzlauren41 A Question ]
