Why do my nipples itch so much? Nipple itching a sign of pregnancy?
Right before my period my nipples hurt a lot. They were VERY sore and had no reason to be. Usually my nipples aren't sore before or during my period. They hurt to be touched and even a bra was slightly uncomfortable from the pressure it put on the nipples.
Well, my period is pretty much over now and my nipples are itching really bad. They aren't very sore now but they are itching! It's just the nipples though and not the breast itself. I want to just stand still and scratch them for a long time.
This has never happened to me before and it's really weird! Is itchy nipples a sign of pregnancy? I can't figure out why this would be happening. The only thing I can figure out was that the sore nipples meant they were hurt or something and now that they are itching it means they are healing from whatever. I didn't do anything to them though to cause them to be hurt though!
What is going on?! Am I pregnant?

Itchy nipples can mean many things. Here are some things that might be causing them to itch.
Bra irritation
Soap allergy
Perfume allergy
Fungal infection
Allergy to laundry detergent
Breast cancer
Eczema
Nipple rash
Pregnancy
If you got your period then I don't think your pregnant, unless you had unprotected sex after it finished.
Whatever the reason may be, you should go to the doctor just to be safe.
