I took the Depo Shot for 5 years. I know a lot about this shot. However, to answer your question. The Depo hormones stays in your body well after you forget or no longer continue the shot. It can take several months to work itself out of your body. Until it does your chances of you getting pregnant is less then likely to happen. Sure, many people have accidents of pregnancys but this birth control method doesn't play games its a for real thing to do if you are sure about not wanting children. The period in August was a real peroid; however if you want children keep practicing. It can take you awhile.

The depo shot can stall getting pregnant for up to a year, since it's almost been a year and you have gotten somewhat of a period you do have a chance to get pregnant.

No matter what you have a chance to get pregnant but a year since you've gotten the shot you will have a much higher chance so keep trying :)

Hope I helped!
