okk so i took the depo shot in jan was soppoosed to go back in march and take the next one i didnt go. ever since march ive been trying and trying to get pregnant.. I havent had my period since january and then for some reason i got it in august for three days.. does that even count as my period? Anyway me and my boyfriend split up for a little bit so didnt try since before august until yesterday we tried he did it in me three times. Can i get pregnant? I really want to i dont know if it will work because of this stupid shot???/ HElp

However, to answer your question. The Depo hormones stays in your body well after you forget or no longer continue the shot. It can take several months to work itself out of your body. Until it does your chances of you getting pregnant is less then likely to happen. Sure, many people have accidents of pregnancys but this birth control method doesn't play games its a for real thing to do if you are sure about not wanting children. o0Yourmom0o answered Wednesday October 7 2009, 6:45 pm: The depo shot can stall getting pregnant for up to a year, since it's almost been a year and you have gotten somewhat of a period you do have a chance to get pregnant.
No matter what you have a chance to get pregnant but a year since you've gotten the shot you will have a much higher chance so keep trying :)
