belly button pierced
I'm trying my hand at theater/acting. I'm getting an agent. Would getting my belly button pierced hurt my chances of making it in the acting business?

No, of course not! It shouldn't! These days, a lot of people have all kinds of piercings. So it has become sort of the norm of this generation. It also depends what kind of job you are getting. Some jobs, maybe some movie roles might restrict against it. But when it comes to the entertainment world, it probably won't matter. You can also ask your agent, if you are unsure too.

I dont see why it would. And if it did you could always let it close. But if your serious about acting, maybe you should hold off on doing it until you get an agent and ask the agent their opinion. Good Luck!

I don't think it will hurt your chances i think they'll mainly be focusing on your acting skills and how well you act rather then pay attention to
the piercing if it comes down to someone not liking it simply take it out then once your finished put it back in again but if you find tthat it becomes annoying i'd leave it out for good

Probably not. Many actresses have their belly button pierced like Keira Knightly. No one is really going to see it and if for some reason your doing scenes where it would be exposed, some directors would want it in and some would just say take it out and problem solved. However, I don't think you would ever be discriminated against for a part for not having your belly button pierced.
