My English teacher wants us to draft a college admission essay for Thursday. I know that the admissions office does not like reading the same essays every year, like how a sport made you a better person or how a travel experience changed your life. I want to be original but I feel as though I'm going to sound like everyone else.
My ideas so far are writing about how I did Irish Dancing for most of my life (I don't even know any girls my age that do it), what led my to my career choice (I saw a girl get hit by a car and have wanted to be a nurse since), or talking about how thankful I am for my glasses/contacts (I've had to wear them since I was 3).
I don't know if these ideas are too far out or not original in the least bit? Which one should I do, or should I choose another topic? Thanks, f/17.

Good luck :) [ Katlyn's advice column | Ask Katlyn A Question ]
