According to the info packet, it takes a week to start working. My DOCTOR told me to wait at least a month before relying on it for protection. Others have been told three, to let it totally get regulated with your body's rhythm. It's weird how he told you to take it, but hey, he's your doctor so maybe your situation was different.

So, if you're indeed taking it religiously at the same time every day, your chances of being pregnant are low. If you miss a period, wait two weeks (because your still new to the pill), then take a pregnancy test and go from there. In the meantime, continue taking your pills correctly. And not to sound like your mom or anything, but you should be using a backup method as well (condoms, spermicide) to be more protected. And condoms are a good idea anyways.

Hope everything works out for you :]

You're on birth control.
This is supposed to stop your worries.

Though there is always a chance of becoming pregnant, the chances are very, very slim on birth control.
