Question Posted Sunday September 6 2009, 5:19 am

I've been dating this guy for a while and i really like him, but there is a downfall, he makes a lot of really perverted jokes, like my best friend will yell at him for it he'll quit for a few days and start again.... What do i do?

Tell him that its bothering you. If he doesn't like you enough to quit or try to quit.. dump that jerk! Maybe he hasn't stopped because your best friend isn't YOU. He's probably thinking if her best friend has a problem with it who cares? I'm not dating her best friend.. I'm dating her. So maybe if it comes from your mouth he'd just stop altogether.

If they bug you, then you need to tell him that. Being in a relationship shouldn't be uncomfortable or annoying, and if that's how it is, you need to speak up. If they don't bug you, just laugh along with them. If they bug your friend that much, then she needs to either stop hanging around your boyfriend so much, or she can just ignore his jokes.

I'm sure he's not trying to be offensive. He does have freedom of speech though, so it's not her place to yell at him for it.

Well, does this bug you? If it bothers you, then talk to him and ask him to slow up on them and go from there, friend. However, I would be sure not to base your decision just on your friend, what matters is how he makes you feel.

Well that is his choice to what he wants to do. Its called freedom of speech. Your in quite a bit of a mess because you dont want to piss you boyfriend or friend off but your friend is being a lil selfish and I could see where your boyfriend is being inconsiderate. But what you could tell them both is hey you guys are putting me in a predictment here. Keep this petty stuff to yourself and stop doing it around me. Let him do what he wants to do and in other hands have a little bit of respect and don't say them all the time around her. I have been screwed over alot though be careful not to get them to be too close of friends. You dont want anything happening but you should have to go through all this fighting. Ok good luck
