There are really not many things you can do to not get cramps. Stay hydrated, eat healthy, get enough sleep, and try to get into shape slowly. Dont run 3 miles your first day, you know? Some tips for the season are: One tip is, stretch a little before you run, and A LOT after you run, because by then your muscles are warmed up and you can stretch more. hold each stretch for at least 30 seconds. Eat complex carbs because they give you more energy. Drink 3 water bottles a day, but space them out. if you drink them all right before practice, you will just have to pee reallllly bad. Bananas are good, and apples are okay. Try to eat pasta 8 hours or less before meets. Good luck and i hope i helped! (: [ gweedsx3's advice column | Ask gweedsx3 A Question ]
