Arm Fat 17/f
I have really fat arms, and I started lifting weights... my question is... will it get rid of the fat or just add muscle?
If it's only adding muscle, how can i get rid of the excess fat?

no itll just add muscle and make your arms bigger but more toned like because some peoples arms wobble with the muscles they wont do that..if u wanna loose arm fat then use natural weight like dont use any weight..do soem boxing or use a punching bag for resistance it will tone up your arms and make them smaller when you run or walk make sure you are strongly swinging your arms this too will help you ]
It will only add or preserve muscle.
The only way to lose fat is to lower your overall body fat percentage. This is done through a calorie deficit- which is a product of what you eat and how much you exercise (here of course any of training is useful, and weight lifting is great for your metabolism and preservation of muscle mass).
That unfortunately is all there is, short of surgery of course.
