I know exactly how you feel, I went through the same thing with Harry Potter. I know it's obnoxiously vague, but you just need to forget about it - get into the real world and busy yourself with something else. "Busy" is the key word there; as soon as you stop doing something, it will all come back to you, but if you minimize your free time, it will all fade away eventually. Good luck!

While I've read Twilight & the other books, and I like them, I think this whole obsession you've got is ridiculous.

It's normal to want what you don't have. Trust me, I experience this feeling at least 5 times a day, everyday. But if you want this life so bad to the point where you're turning down guys because they're not like Edward, or you're starting to dress like the characters & start using Cullen as your last name, then you're never going to get anywhere.

Like Jack said below, Edward Cullen isn't real. Neither are the rest of the Cullens or James/Victoria & Laurent. Neither is Bella, or Jacob, or even her friends Jessica and Mike. None of them are real, and they never will be.

Once you figure that out, it'll probably be a lot easier for you to get over this obsession. Stop putting every guy up to the standards of Edward. No normal guy will ever meet them, and if you keep putting it like that, you'll never meet anyone & you'll only continue to be unhappy.

You need to get over it. It's just a series. It's not real. It's fantasy fiction. It'll NEVER happen. The sooner you realize that, the sooner you'll get over this ridiculous obsession. It's okay to like the book, but you're putting it on some pedestal and making it seem greater than it actually is.

I love writing in about stuff I have had personal experience with! I was the same way about twilight in 8th grade! It was a big thing at my school and so everyone was reading it! And you just want to be Bella, or atleast have her life!!! Yet your just seen as a crazy obsessed teanage girl like the rest of them. The reason your so upset is because you know no matter how hard you try you will just be one in the croud when it comes to this!!!

I remember thinking that I wasn't like all the other fans, but i was different but the truth is you are like them! And you have to accept that, then realize this is fiction. They DON'T exist!!! However your edward is out there but look for yours not hers, make your own love story!!!

This answer is common from people who read the book when she wrote that book she did a really good job. Its not uncommon to want something you don't have thats normal there is just no need to cry over it. Right now you are very young and you want love which is why you want to be in the book. again there is nothing wrong with that just be patient and your very own Edward will come into your life and you will forget about the book. Until than it never hurts to fantasize.

Ok, I've read all the books, and I've seen the movie. Just letting you know so that you don't think I'm ignorant about the Twilight "saga".

Is it romantic? Hell no. Sure, it was an alright read, but I've read so many more romantic books and literature.

Twilight obsessions really get to me. Like, I understand you want to jump into their world, but it is called FANTASY for a reason. It is NOT real by any means. No matter how many action figures they make, how many movies they make, how many fans write fan-fiction, how many girls search for Edward, how many girls find "Edward", or whatever.

No matter HOW badly you want Twilight to be real, it is NEVER going to be real. Vampires don't exist. Edward doesn't exist. Bella doesn't exist. James and Victoria and Jacob and Mr. Swan and everyone else. THEY DO NOT EXIST.

I'll say it again: NONE OF THESE CHARACTERS EXIST. It's a book. Books aren't going to come alive. This isn't some stupid cartoon show where books come to life. This is REAL LIFE.

The longer you hold onto this stupid world of Twilight, the longer it's going to take you to realize that no guy is Edward, and you're going to dump a guy because he isn't "like Edward".

Please, for the sake of man-kind. Forget about Twilight. It isn't going to be real.

I understand you because I like the book too, but you have to realize that everything you read really isn't perfect. I can go into great detail about this, but that would take to long, however.... for instance, their love ISN'T perfect, for one thing Edward is completely & unbearably overprotective, not allowing Bella to do a lot of different things.

Your own romance WILL COME ALONG. I'm pretty sure it won't be at 13, but later in your life. And it will be romantic and breathtaking and you won't even think about this book while it goes on. You will be all but consumed by reality that you won't want a book, because the book won't be as good! You have to realize that this book is made to capture, and it does just that. I suggest reading other books in the meantime, and after a while you'll be fine. Ofcourse, if you keep reading it, you'll just be consumed by it, and you need to be living reality, not some book.

Good luck!
