It means that you are good with your friends, but you try to pretend to be friends with your enemies so that you can get closer to gaining that thing or winning the situation.

ask4help answered Sunday August 9 2009, 11:39 pm: to me it means like keep your friends close but keep your enemies closer so they wont hurt you.. if youre nice to them they wont have a reason to screw things up for you so its better not to show you have grudges with people.. it will make life a hell of a lot easier haha trust me. this is what i do and its been working lately :)
