Okayy so I have this friend, I'll call him A. So, me and A have known eachother since like 3rd or 4th grade. We've always been good friends! I don't know if he's ever liked me or not..but, we get along very good. I think he's pretty cool and everything and I wouldn't mind dating him. He broke up with his girlfriend and told me that he was looking for a new one. He told me some girl asked him out..but he doesn't like her and told her he isn't looking for one..but then he told me he actually is he just didn't want to tell her that. I told him I never had a boyfriend before..and he said "you can get a boyfriend". So, we talked about that for a little while..and then we stopped and changed the subject. Basically, everytime we talk..we never run out of things to talk about, we alwayas laugh at eachothers jokes, and we're 100% comfortable with eachother. My question is..do you think I have a chance or something? I know that's stupid to ask but I just want some advice! Please and thankyou. :)

The context of that conversation is foreshadowing that maybe he "wouldn't mind dating you, either" (; It's great that you are very good friends, you have known each other for a while, and that you are completely comfortable with each other. Since you're the only one he told that he WAS looking for a girlfriend, it sounds as if he's hoping you will be the one to fill that space. My advice to you would be GO FOR IT, GIRL! And if you're nervous, just do what he does. Play the "secret" game, I'm sure you'll get somewhere!
