I got the new version of the iTouch last October. My advice: get a cover for it! I dropped mine once on a floor and it cracked on the upper part of the screen. It's very fragile. It is also hard to repair, if you do it yourself. So, be careful :). Not sure if you know this but you can also download games on it by going through iTunes and purchasing them (I usually go for the free ones..which aren't that bad!). You normally don't have to charge the iTouch often..unless you use it 24/7. The games, and internet use up most of the battery. You can only use the internet on iTouch if you have Wi-Fi. Also, if you hold your finger on one of the apps long enough..they will start to "shake", allowing you to rearrange them, when you're done with that..just press that circular button on the bottom of the iTouch. Besides all of that, I'd have to say I pretty much love this ipod! it's very fun to use, and I'm pretty sure you'll never get bored of it.

I recently bought an iPod Touch as well, and I LOVE it. I'm always on it and I'm pretty much addicted. I would probably be typing this answer on it right now if it wasn't across the room charging XD

I've dropped mine, though, and it didn't break. Like, I was running on the treadmill and dropped it on the belt while it was moving and it survived, so the person who dropped theirs must have meant the wood floor under their bed or something...

Anyways, the Apps are really cool. I'm always updating my Twitter or checking the weather or finding movie times for my friends and I, etc.

All in all, the iPod Touch is great and I can guarantee you will love it. It's really easy to get used to, just mess around with it :)

Congrats on the touch!
I would definately keep a cover on it, my cover is has a rubbery feel to it (not plastic) and I think its better because if you set your ipod down, it wont slip or slide while you are trying to play a game.

My fiance bought me an ipod touch on my birthday last year. The 16 gb.

Honestly is the best investment we've ever made. We use it for everything! I even hook it up to my car and there's no need for cds anymore.

Check out these fun apps:

Koi pond .99
Distant shore .99
Vampires live
Sol free
Arcade bowl
Millionaire
ReMovem
TextTwist
Taptap revenge
Labyrinth 3d
Checkers

Most of those are free apps I think.

You can put movies on it too! Next time u go to the store to buy a new release, look for the "special edition" and on the front it should say

"Digital copy included"

As long as it says that, there will be a code inside the dvd case and when you type that code into itunes, it downloads the movie to your itunes!

Again, its the best electronic device I've ever owned, its going to be hard for anyone to top this!

And congrats on ur new itouch. If you have any questions about how to do anything with it or itunes, shoot me an email!
