My boyfriend is thinking about getting another dog, and if it's a female, and him and I were thinking about the name Sasha.
Sasha was also the name of my cat who died a few years ago. My mother says it's bad luck to name animals after another but I think it's sort of an honor, and I love the name. Is it heartless to do that?

I loved them and the names I gave them. To me the name has to fit the animal. If it looks like a Sasha to you name it Sasha. I love that name, I would name a Husky dog Sasha. There are people that name new pets after past pets in honor of them. And it is 2 different animals.. a dog and a cat. If you like the name I say go for it!
