The problem you mention is from doing something the same way night after night for years. Eventually, it won't be as pleasurable, will take longer etc. etc. Try not doing it as often or a different method. It won't affect pleasure for you during sex or otherwise. Your body is too used to your finger, if that makes sense, so that's probably why it's not happening as quickly.
