infatuatedxxglamour answered Tuesday July 14 2009, 4:59 pm: I always see Compound W advertised on TV commercials but I really don't know much about it, sorry. Even though its an urban legend, I coincidentally got a wart on my hand after handling a frog for the first and last time when I was six years old. It grew to be very big, especially for the hand of a little kid, so I went to the doctor's and had it removed. They take a type of wand/pen filled with acid and go over the wart until it's burned off. Its a little painful but if my memory serves correct, they do numb it first. I didn't cry when I was 6 haha, so I wouldn't worry about it. The only thing is that the pen sparks with the acid from the top, so tiny bits of your surrounding skin burn a bit, but as I said, it just feels like a pinch, not really a burn. I'd just book an appointment with your doctor.
