when i got the depo shot, i didnt get my period for the first 2 months. i was freakin out because i thought the shot failed and that i was pregnant. but when i looked it up they said its very common for you not to get your period when youre on it, and just spottin every now and then.
after i finally got my period though, it lasted 3-4 weeks and it sucked.
if i doesnt come before your next time to get the shot then you should get a pregnancy test or go to the doctor.

good luck!

Look, you have to make an appointment with a doctor. It could be deprovera or it could be pregnancy. I have a friend in the same situation right now.. she took a pregnancy test and it came out positive.. So,I would first take a test to see if you are pregnant (if it's possible) and make an appointment with the doctor to see what's going on for FACT.. Make sure that shot is agreeing with you, because It didn't for me. I ended up having a hysterectomy in later years!!!

Good Luck and please consult your doctor that issued the shot dearheart.

It may be your birth control. For me, I was put on Loestrin or something and I had lighter periods and no cramps. Then one month I didnt have my period. Then another month came and I still didnt get it. The third month came and I had it. I got it every 2 months which was weird. The last time I got my period was January of 08. My doctor said its the BC. Talk to your doctor and tell him what is happening.

When you're on Depo, you won't get any periods. A very handy side effect!

In my experience, you may have some spotting around the time of your usual period, but otherwise nothing really heavy.

-----------------------------------------------

Depo is very different from other birth control products. It will cause you to stop having periods entirely, unlike the pill, which either lightens or makes them less frequent.

Just be sure to take a pregnancy test every once in a blue moon to be sure... nothing is entirely failsafe.
