gynecologist
I have to go to the gynecologist soon. I need to decide whether i want a boy doctor or a girl doctor. What kind of doctor should i go see? I'm seventeen and this is my first time going to one.

You need to decide which gender you're more comfortable with. You have to realize that they're going to be looking into your vagina.
The decision is yours, but I personally would prefer a female. You have the same thing as her so it wouldn't be uncomfortable at all. They're both going to be doing the same things, but you need to decide which gender you prefer.

Ultimately the choice is going to be yours and what you are most comfortable with. My first gyno was an older women, and I now have an older man as my gyno and I like him way more than I liked the female doctor. It's really a matter of what makes you most comfortable. There is also nothing wrong with trying out one doctor and then switching. Heads up...if you have a male doctor there is usually a female nurse that stands in there as well. And remember, there is nothing to be shy about--whichever doctor you choose, keep in mind they have to look at several other women of all shapes, sizes, and ages. :)

usually, there is a male doctor. but they are very professional and deal with that kind of doctoring all the time. 8 times out of 10, its a boy.
and i dont know your orientation is, but depending on it, would you rather have a girl or a boy digging up your women hood? im straight, so id rather a guy.
its really not that big of a deal. just depends on what you prefer.
