I wanted to be a Sonagrapher for a while, but I couldn't find any schools close enough to where I live either. I've talked to many councelors, colleges, and professors about this, and I finally figured out what had to be done if I wanted to pursue this career. I had 3 options:

1. Go to the only semi-close school near me that has a major for diagnostic imaging. The closest one to me is Morehead University in Kentucky, and sadly, that's not very close.

2. Go to a community college that offers the 2 year ultrasound technician program, and the closest was VA Beach. Once again, not very close.

3. Get a certificate to become a radiology technician, find a clinic or hospital to hire me, and be trained on the job in the ultrasound department. A radiology professor that I talked to told me that this option is becoming less and less available for liability reasons or something like that.

Anyways, not a very easy profession to go into if there aren't any schools near you obviously. I attached a website below that has a list of all the schools that offer the program by city in Louisiana. Keep in mind though that this may not be accurate, or even up to date. Some schools that have offered it in the past may not offer it now, or schools that have not previously offered may now. So you should really talk to your guidance councelor at school and have him/her help you. That's who helped me find out who I need to talk to. Good luck :)
