i use dove shampoo and conditioner and i wash my hair really well every night and i wake up with greasy hair... is there any type of hair product i can use to make my hair not greasy?? thanks!
KisaKiss19 answered Friday June 5 2009, 10:11 pm: you most likely need a clarifying (sp?) shampoo, alls this really does is just really clean your hair. if you want a salon brand thats really worth buying,you could try paul mitchell. the bottle should say "clarifying" on it. also, washing your hair every night strips it of its natural oils- making it produce twice as much to compensate for the lack of oils in your hair. this makes the roots greasy faster(it also drys your hair further from the roots out more) ,but you can easily regulate this by washing your hair every other day and eventually it wont feel so greasy. i've used dove before and have to agree,my hair was a little greasier than usual as well. maybe this brand is too moisturizing for our heads?! also if your in a hurry and need to get rid of greasy hair- try putting some baby powder in your hands and then moving the little amount into your hair. its not exactly the best thing to do,but it does suck up the grease and make it look nice :).
