Hah, I remember those times. I used to do what your friend does ALL the time. I would get super jealous because I thought maybe they didn't want to be my friend anymore, or they were getting a new best friend. I eventually got over that phase, but I found that the reason I got so jealous was because I didn't want to lose my best friend, AGAIN. I had gone through it before, and if that friend would hang out with anyone else, or I wouldn't get invited to a party, I would be devastated and say, "I thought you were my best friend! You won't pay attention to me anymore~!" and I wound constantly get on their back about it. What normally calmed me down was when they PROMISED that they weren't doing that, and that you are their best friend. Point is, I got over it, and so will your friend. Unforchanitly, you might have to deal with it until she calms down, and matures up. (Not accusing your friend of being immature or anything.) My friends dealt with it by assuring me over and OVER, that they would never replace me. You have to let her know that a lot, if you don't want her calling you crying on the phone saying "You don't like me anymore!" Like I did. I wish you the best of luck, and hope you get through this. Hope I helped a little!

She sounds like she's had issues with past friends where she thought they were her best friend & then someone new and interesting came along and they dropped her.

I know it can get annoying, but she cares about you. If that's what's happened previously to her before, you can't blame her for being jealous.

Ask her what the deal is. Don't be rude about it, but just ask her why she's so jealous. She'll probably tell you. Just reassure her. I can see you're not like the other girls, and even after being friends for this long, you'd think she know, but sometimes it just takes a bit to click.

Talk things out with her & it should be fine.
