Can't stop sweating!

Question Posted Monday May 11 2009, 9:42 pm

I've noticed over the past year or so that I have been having a serious perspiration problem. I sweat when I get nervous (or over heated, of course) and even just a little seems to leave unsightly "pit-stains" and give me sweaty smelly feet. I have tried using Secret Clinical Strength and odor eaters foot spray but all they do is mask the odor. I'm still just as wet when I use these products. The problem is that it's a vicious cycle because thinking that I have sweat stains on my clothes or that I smell bad makes me nervous about my appearance which makes me sweat more. Thanks for your help!

Uh... well there IS surgery if you really want to stop your perspiration and if you're really desperate. I wouldn't recommend it though.

You can try antiperspirant, but I've heard that it block pores which prevents sweating, which is bad for you in the long run.

My advice is to take a shower every morning and put on some DEODORANT, not antiperspirant. Buy the kind without aluminum.

About the pit stains, wear a jacket over top. Make sure the jacket is loose and made of a breathable material.

Hope this helps, if not, I'm sorry. (I'm no doctor)

Go to a doctor and get prescription medication and deoderant. bring changes of clothes where you go just incase and maybe a myst bottle to cool yourself off when you start sweating.
