Tampons

I got tampons from school because we were learning about puberty in June of 2008 , now i have my period i wanted to use it but the thing is i opened one before is it ok to use now or is it unsterilized?

I really think you should use pads when beginning to get your period and tampons for swimming and when you're older. But if you plan on using tampons right away, I would strongly recommend you not use the one you already opened, for there is a chance it's unsterilized. You certainly do not want to be putting anything unsanitary inside you. But again, I recommend you use pads. (Tampons can tear your hymen and that's a very unpleasant feeling!)

As long as it was in the wrapper, it is still fine. Make sure there were no packaging tears or anything

edit- if you already opened it up, then no its not good to use anymore.
