NinjaNeer answered Thursday May 7 2009, 11:15 am: As Darby pointed out, companies will not hire people under the age of 15.
However, I managed to find work when I was 13 through the public library. You could also try summer day camps, because they often hire counselors in training.
Try to make a good impression, and do your best to look and act older than you are. The more mature you seem for your age, the better your chances of finding employment. [ NinjaNeer's advice column | Ask NinjaNeer A Question ]
Darby answered Thursday May 7 2009, 12:11 am: It would be very hard for a thirteen year old to get a job for a company or business of any sort. Even fast food restaurants require you to be at least 15. Truthfully, it depends where you live.
But you could deliver newspapers, do lawn work, or help clean things like garages and attics for people in your community.
