drug test

Question Posted Monday May 4 2009, 11:13 pm

my parents are really pushing me to get a job. im 16 and i dont have my permit, or my license yet. and kroger is nearby, so i could basically walk to work if i got a job there.

the only problem is im very well-aware that they test your urine for drugs. and i smoked weed twice within the last week and a half, so i know i'd fail.

im not wondering how to pass one, im just wondering what happens when you FAIL one. like, do they get the cops involved? do they call your parents? or do they just say i cant have the job and send me out or fire me, ban me from the store, or what?

When I worked for Kroger they tested right after my interview, but instead of a urine test they just swab your mouth. So I don't know if that is as reliable. Also, I worked there for two years and they never tested again so if you can go long enough to pass for the interview, you should be fine.

All that happens is they wont hire you. And they might keep it on record so that if you ever tried applying there again, they can know that you previously failed a drug test. You parents will not know and the cops will not get involved.

If you do want to clean out your system and take the drug test, all you have to do is drink water all day the day before your taking the drug test. Make sure your pee is clear. And then when you take the drug test, you will come up clean. Dont waste money on a product that cleans your system when you can just do it with water.

No they don't get the cops involved from my experience. They just tell you you are not eleigible right now. Another thing you should find out is if they test you at the begining or if they test you if something goes wrong. Cause like the job my sweetie applied for does drug testing, but we asked and they only test you if you have an accident on the job. And that's like a major accident where you either like break a lot of valuable stuff or like you fall or something and you may qualify for workers comp. It has to be pretty serious.
I know you are not looking for something but they have 24 hour cleansers that will clear your urine for the test. You just take it like an hour before the test and you should be fine. Never heard of one not working. You can get the on line or at the health food store or sometimes at drug stores. :) Best of luck.
